Dedicated room or living room?

INSTALLING A HOME CINEMA IN YOUR LIVING ROOM IS OUTDATED

All the ingredients mixed together will get you the worst possible results (we’ll see why further on). It also poses the major problem of sound leakage into other rooms of the house. It is impossible to imagine a cinema screening at night if the children are sleeping in the house. The show is no longer a rendezvous if we lower the sound because that is exactly what gives emotion to the film, makes us jump and draws the viewer into the story. The materials that are present in a living room permit neither a good sound nor a good image. Here is where we most often find the hardest surfaces (plaster, brick, concrete, glass windows, carpet or tiling, furniture not suited for a cinema…) which makes the sound bounce from wall to wall and generates absolutely disastrous acoustics.

The result is closer to a soundbox than a cinema. Let’s not forget that the acoustics of the room represents in itself 80% of the final sound result. It is the most important stage in the installation of a home cinema. Finally, as soon as the ray of light illuminates the cinema screen, and it runs into any light colours (for example white walls, ceiling and floor), the general lighting level in the room dramatically rises and causes a serious degredation of the projected image (the blacks become gray, the contrast plunges, the colours seem washed-out, overall the result is very disappointing).

For these reasons, VOTRE CINEMA has decided to no longer do home cinema installations in living rooms. For we cannot guarantee a satisfying final result.

Creating a private cinema room in a dedicated room is by far the best solution to discover all the excitement and all the intrinsic qualities of a veritable cinema:

A reinforced soundproofing of the room so it can be used both during the day and at night without disturbing others
An acoustic treatment is studied in order to obtain a perfectly mastered surround sound (the aucoustic correction concerns the ensemble of the walls, the ceiling, the floor and even the door!)
A fabulous projected image, because from now on the walls and the ceiling will be black, so that they absorb any rays of light that shine around the screen (this is why all cinemas have black walls and ceilings. It isn’t just a coincidence!)
A resolutely cinema decoration (red carpet, black walls, dim lights, platform with very comfortable armchairs…, the show can begin!)
A general high-end atmosphere without question, transforming your room into a real showcase for spectators
Unexpected sensations, far superior to a real cinema, thanks to a better quality of sound, image and comfort, as well as the addition of vibrations in the armchairs (during the explosions, for example)

A genuine private home cinema room also brings value to your home in the short term or in the forseeable future, especially in the case of resale! This still remains rare in France, contrary to a pool, a jacuzzi or a home cinema thrown together in the living room...

A private cinema room can be used throughout the year, alone, with children, with family or friends. A good film, a show, sporting events, concerts… so many ocassions to forget everything and go with the flow...

You will no longer need to take your car to go see a film in the conditions imposed upon you by a cinema, such as having to wait in line, arriving too late or having to listen to your neighbor eat popcorn throughout the movie… From this point forward you will be in charge of when, with whom, where and how...
