The importance de of acoustics in a room dedicated to home cinema
It is the most important element of the entire project, yet it is the one that is often the most neglected...
A European certification in "all in one" acoustic walls, bringing 5 crucial and complimentary properties into the home cinema room.
Thermal insulation (it is useless to insulate your room beforehand)
Soundproofing (to avoid a sound-leakage into other rooms)
Acoustic correction and treatment (to master the surround sound in the cinema)
Technical integration (wiring, electricity, integrated speakers without the slightest incision in the walls)
Decoration with several finishing materials, wooden or metal columns or panels, integration of lighting...
Clarity of dialogues and sound effects
The feeling of absolute calm in the room
Optimal reproduction of multidirectional sound
Listening comfort that is superior to the best auditoriums and public cinema halls
Aesthetic and personalized integration rooms
A more intense sentiment of total immersion
Highlighting of audio equipment
No more buzzing in the bass frequencies (the low ones)
Our design office sets up an acoustic diagnostic of your room in its untreated state. The study permits generating a link for our recommendations of the acoustic correction, the positioning of the speakers and the location of the audience area.
The defining feature of cinema resides in the number of speakers which emit sound in different directions in the same room. Installing 6 to 20 speakers in a reduced size room will resolutely produce a cinematic result if the sounds emitted remain perfectly precise, without bouncing on every wall of the room and without transforming into a veritable cacophony or a sound-box. The acoustic treatment (also known as “acoustic correction”) allows for perfect control of the surround sound in the interior of the room.
It functions as sound absorption zones (to prevent the sound from bouncing from wall to wall) and as sound diffusion (this in fact enlargens the sound field). The acoustic treatment is the most important part of a dedicated home cinema room project, for this alone represents 80% of the final result! This is however, an element that is often neglected or even forgotten...
